Our wood foundation goes great with any of our natural rubber latex mattresses. We chose poplar as it is stated on chemically sensitive web sites as the least offensive to chemically sensitive persons. This type of wood is strong, durable, non aromatic and can be dried the most naturally with a non chemical agent we call TIME. Our solid wood frame is then covered in matching organic cotton quilted to a layer of our pure organically processed wool from our happy organically raised sheep. This matches our mattress and provides airflow to control moisture. Sturdy and strong.
